BEST CONCERT EVER... AND I'VE BEEN TO A LOT OF CONCERTS.

I may be biased because I love Tyler Childers lyrics, persona, love seeing him find the gospel again... but I've been a fan of his for years. He had one of the best concerts/singers I've every been to and I've seen everything from Coldplay to Justin Timberlake to Kenny Chesney. I don't know why everyone else is complaining about not hearing their favorite songs- any even semi-Childers fan would have known and loved every single song he sang. I'm guessing the negative reviews are Feathered Indians fans- don't get me wrong I still ADORE feathered indians but I loved the rest of his song choices so much that I didn't even notice the ones he didn't play. I'm purchasing my "cheetah print bodysuit" and heading back to Red Rocks for the next concert :)

SOME OF YOU LOST YOUR MARBLES.

First and foremost, incredible set, incredible preformance.. not just by Tyler but the entire band. I guess if you're not a true fan you'll be complaining about what songs he chooses to play but it's common sense to know the tour is called SEND IN THE HOUNDS and that he's gonna play songs from Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven. Also the idea of getting passed off about not getting an encore is childish. They're not the backstreet boys. They play their set and they played for a damn good amount of time, it's a pretty ridiculous idea that they gotta do this thing where they leave and then surprise you complained enough that they came back out. Stop it. ✋️ They did a phenomenal job. And he did mix it up, he played a shit ton of songs and not just from his new album. I could sit front row listening to him endlessly. I can't comprehend any bad reviews and the reasoning behind some of them are just ridiculous.

GREAT SHOW....BUT WTF

Great show at the Commodore last night! Band was solid and crisp. But we didnt hear Nose To The Grindstone...NOSE TO THE GRINDSTONE!! what the hell. Everybody cheering for an encore for 5 min straight and then told he wasnt coming out! Lol just dont get it....that's the song that put him on the map. Just weird

GREAT

The concert was great. Sound at First Avenue was really phenomenal! It was a good experience overall. There were a couple of a$$ hats in the crowd & that was annoying. Don't push & don't fight. I think Tyler was exhausted but he still sounded* so* flipping good. It's amazing, all of his talent! Congratulations on a great tour. Hang in there! All you folks putting him down ... come on now. Get real.

HUGE CHILDERS FAN .. BUT A LITTLE FRUSTRATED

Dude you're amazing and you sound perfect live but..... you came to the Cain's Ballroom. THE CAIN'S BALLROOM and played the shortest set i have ever seen at Cain's. You wrapped up with a song no one knew and lights on at like 1115 or something. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU MAN?!?!?! THE Cain's is holy ground in Tulsa and you shi$ all over it. Congratulations.

DISSAPOINTED

He was amazing. But no encore!! I've seen some of the greatest groups in history and always an encore singing a couple of their bests that they saved! so no encore and some of his best he doesnt play for that kind of money? And one of the intro bands just didnt make sense genre wise. Felt like he forgot where he gets his paycheck. I will never go see him again and probably done listening to him. But red rocks was amazing! My first time there and it didnt disappoint!

TOO MUCH JAMMING

We were at Radio City for the second show on Th night. Opening was great, impressed when we saw he had 23 musicians up there on the stage with him, but the sound was such that you could barely tell. 8 violins/fiddles excited me, but you could hardly ever tell they were making music as they were drowned out by the band. Crazy. He dropped songs from the Wed night set list, and did more jamming with the band which does nothing for me, not why I want to see Tyler Childers. Most of the show was fabulous, but there were maybe a 3-5 songs I could have done without. Play your music dude, stick to your roots. It is why we come to see you.

DISAPPOINTMENT

Band too loud. Sound mushy and distorted. Couldn't discern lyrics. Bass way too heavy. Tyler is a great songwriter, but what good does that do when you can't hear the lyrics and the vocals get drowned out.

LEFT EARLY

I was really really looking forward to this show. I drove 2 hours to get there. I'd never been to the Fillmore in Detroit but I like small venues and it looked good on paper. Long story short, crappy venue. Box office opened at 6, then we were left out in the very cold for 2 hours before the doors were opened. Main floor was nothing but a mosh pit. Show didn't start until 9. Horrible opening act...Liz something and the Stampede...Bring earplugs. By the time TC went on close to 10 PM, I was bored and pissed. Couldn't even buy a cup of coffee. The bass player was all that I could hear...the reverb from his strings covered up everything else. So I paid $80 to stand in a freezing line for hours, for crappy seats in a mosh pit venue to see a really bad opening act and then to be unable to discern the songs played by Tylar Childers because of bad sound mixing and crappy acoustics.

DISAPPOINTED

We figured Tyler Childers at the Red Rocks was a win win. Tyler sounded good but didn’t play hardly any of his most popular songs that made him who he is today. He also didn’t play long at all. No encore even though the crowd cheered for a good while. He never came back out. Was even more disappointed to learn that he skipped some of his playlist songs on Wednesday night that he played on Thursday night. Paid good money for this show and traveled from NC. Red Rocks was awesome. Just wish Tyler would have showed up.

MEH

When I first hear nose to the grindstone I knew I had found something special. He was the gem you got to show people who were like “wow who is this again! ?” After having Tyler on regular rotation for many years many of his songs speaking right to my heart, I check back in and hear some of these newer releases and Its just is not the raw soulful unapologetic songwriting that was the magic. But who is this strange Christmas sweater lounge singer guy I don’t know what the hell was Going on tonight, but the vibe onstage was downright awkward. The band without a doubt, definitely had their moments, each of them obviously powerfully talented and some the jams really hit, but overall the bass drowned everything else, flat picker guy way too low Could not understand anything Tyler tried to say between songs. And he tried to say a lot. At least he was finally smiling? Can anyone explain to me what the heck was going on with Tyler and the violin? I don’t know if you were close enough to see all the facial expressions and like I don’t know it was weird and off? I appreciate the art, i love bass dudes hair, I appreciate the weird backwards sounds into jam stuff and the trippy stuff and the tv onstage was a cool prop I love that, I don’t begrudge him progression. But I was willing to write off the sound waitlist to just being a weird anomoly venue specific maybe until I read the EXACT same problems from all these other reviews. Tyler I love you but … meh 🫤

TYLER CHILDERS

He only performed half of the songs that fans came to hear. WTF! The pot smoke and Marlboro smoke was enough to make people leave early. It was a huge disappointment and I flew across the country for this concert. Never again. Red Rock is beautiful but air quality sucks folks. It’s outside and it was terrible. Tyler Childers I will never go see again, although I am still a fan. He should stick with what made him famous. 3k later and a lesson learned.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

Came to the concert in high hopes, enjoyed at first when he had the guitar. Even in the front of general admission could barely hear him over the band. Pot and cigarette smoke was almost unbearable and could barely breathe. He didn’t even play half the song people wanted to hear. Everyone we spoke to was extremely disappointed. Over $3k later and felt like a waste. Still a fan, but won’t be seeing him in concert again. Hopefully he either apologizes or compensates.

AWEFUL

Worse concert ever great venue both opening acts were way off base Tyler never got to where he came from. . Paid 4 k for this no way. Wish him the best

1.0 star rating Joanne from Denver, Colorado

GODAWFUL

Two openers, first a Black woman who was great. Then some weird female techno bizarre garbage that went on way too long. And he is not a country artist. Nothing but pure unintelligible disorganized noise. The four of us left with headaches. We paid $700 for tickets in June 2022. Concert was at Ted Rocks September 20, 2022.

1.0 star rating R from Denver, Colorado

DISAPPOINTING

We flew in for this show and spent a ton of hard earned money. It was a huge disappointment. Tyler played a few older songs, which were great, then started singing gospel. Sadly, it wasn’t even good gospel, in our opinion. The people to our left and right were complaining about it too, so it wasn’t just us. The venue was beautiful, however.

AWFUL

worst. concert. ever. toyota music factory did a horrible job managing the situation but overall tyler childers is not worth the hype. great live voice but that’s exactly where it stops. do yourself a favor and save your money. so disappointed because i’ve been a fan since the beginning. it was such a bad experience i don’t think i will be listening to him anymore.
