SO DISAPPOINTED

I've been a fan of hers since I was a late teen. As a birthday gift, my wife got us front row center stage tickets at the Pines Theater in Look Park, (Northampton MA). I can’t express how excited I was to see her. She came out on stage late. She was either high, drunk or on heavy meds. She could barely formulate a sentence. She stumbled a few times trying to remember where she was. She would play and sing a little, then kept introducing the band members and letting them play solo. For the first 20min of the show, it seemed like her bassist was trying to keep her focused. At one point she started jamming out, and I saw the bassist reach for his strings a few times to try to figure out what song she was playing. I’m going to keep listening to her old stuff. So very disappointed…

DISAPPOINTMENT

First of all, she did not even acknowledge her audience as she entered the stage. After singing a few songs I noticed that she slurred her words and seemed to forget them. She only had a two piece band that seemed to help her out while she seemed what I perceived that she was somewhat out of it. She seemed to be high on meds or alcohol, was my impression. Her songs were of poor choice, I did not recognize most of them. I am not one to ever criticize a performer, although, I definitely would not pay to see her in concert again. I do love her voice and her music and will continue to listen to her, but not in concert. In a couple of instances I found myself falling asleep as did the person that I went with to see her perform. The venue, Dr Phillips Center for the Performing Arts was beautiful and well organized and we had awesome seats, although, Diana Krall, was a disappointment for me and my companion. I love downtown Orlando!

THESE REVIEWS MAKE ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT IT ALL

I have wanted to see DK for a long time. I am a fellow Berklee grad and caught her this evening in Clearwater Florida. My review can only be summed up with one word. Lazy. I have never seen an artist more disengaged with an audience. A packed house. She showed up late. And never spoke to us. It was bizarre. I paid a ton of money to sit up front. People left mid set. It was such a disappointment.

SHE SEEMED DISENGAGED

Diana Krall seemed tired and just going through the motions last night. Did not engage with the audience much at all and was rambling a bit as she went through her playlist. Ruth Eckerd Hall had good acoustics and our seats in the middle on row W had excellent views but I would get a bit closer next time.

DISAPPOINTED

I’ve listened to her recordings for years and was so looking forward to her performance. She was not engaged with the audience nor were we able to hear the words of her songs. It was boring.

ONE AND DONE

So many reviews here are accurate. We saw Diana Krall in Mobile, Alabama at the Saenger Theater and I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I left extremely disappointed. She was lethargic the whole show, forgot words to her songs, mumbled to the audience, and was simply disengaged. There was zero energy. It's like she wasn't there to entertain us, but rather just to play a piano in front of a bunch of people. She sounded like she just woke up or was on drugs. It was over in about 90 minutes...80 minutes for us because we left before the encore. Total waste of money. Two stars because I did know a few songs.

NOT ENGAGING

She was speaking very muffled, it was difficult to understand, she would cover often her face with her hair and she was not engaging with the audience at all. Her music was soulless, what would have been amazing pieces she destroyed them with her disengagement.
