Way, way too loud. Uncomfortably loud. I would have left if my daughter had not been there. Cannot hear the great Glen sing. Loud loud loud. So loud I would not go back Glenn is amazing if one could hear him.

HANSARD TRADES GRACE FOR POLITICS

It was another solid performance by Glen Hansard up and to the point at which he launched a hateful version of a Woodie Guthrie song and then engaged in an exchange of insults with a member of the audience near the stage. It was our first time to the Anthem and it left us with a good impression. Parking was not as difficult as I would have expected but be prepared to shell out $25 to utilize the below ground garage beneath the the Anthem and surrounding businesses. Bought a couple of sodas and some snacks at the concessions within the Anthem before the music started and they cost about what you'd expect but we were pleased with the options and our choices. Back to Hansard: We saw him at DAR a few years ago and while I was not a fan then, I was so impressed that I was very happy to see him again and this go 'round at the Anthem was our opportunity. The band he brought was excellent and he hasn't lost a step but unfortunately he has lost respect for his audiences. We walked out.

ROUGH SHOW AT THE HOB BOSTON FOR GLEN HANSARD

Saw Glen Hansard on CBS Saturday morning and bought tickets to his show at the House of Blues in Boston because we liked how his music sounded. Until this show, I had never seen a professional musician insult the audience and chastise them for "talking." All-around awkward experience and, like the review below, we also walked out. Feel very similarly to review from "Tfhr" below.
