We were excited to go to this show but ended up extremely disappointed! Maybe we aren’t classy or highbrow enough to enjoy as all of the other reviews that have been written praise the performance. The set was boring, basic, and dark almost the entire show. There were very few props or sets/backgrounds. The swords were tiny little daggers and the uniforms were basic vests and too tight black jeans. We were thinking they were doing a modern twist on the costumes at the start but by the end we were confused by the choices. Costumes were a weird mix of street clothes on some actors and costumes looked like a mix of costumes leftover from previous shows. We had hoped the set and costumes would be similar to the previous show (was wonderful, imaginative and so fun to see over Xmas). The actors always do a great job but didn’t get or enjoy the vision of the director. There was also an issue of having to listen to the usher behind us whisper recite the lines of the entire show.
