Why See Noises Off?
The Show Must Go On
Regarded as one of the funniest plays ever written, Michael Frayn's Noises Off follows a doomed production of a farce named Nothing On. From rehearsals through to opening night, cues are missed, props are dropped and lines are mumbled, and that's nothing compared to the hilarity going on backstage. This Guthrie production promises to be the most disastrous show you've ever seen (but in a good way)!
Noises Off first premiered in Lindon's West End in 1982, and made its debut Stateside thirteen years later. Its comedic heir, The Play That Goes Wrong, is currently playing to packed out crowds on Broadway.
Opening night: 27 October 2018
Noises Off is a comedy best appreciated by children 12 and older due to the more adult storyline.
Two hours 30 including intermission
