Shane, based on the novel of the same name by Jack Schaefer is taking to the Guthrie Theater stage this summer! This old western classic has had new life breathed into it, with playwright Karen Zacarias reimagining and reworking the core characters, the Starretts now a Latino family, and the titular character Shane, now the son of a Cuban slave. See the story from a new perspective!

What's it about?

A young boy by the name of Bob Starrett has his world turned upside down when lone gunslinger Shane rides into town. Laying aside his previous life, Shane helps out on the Starrett farm, be it working the land, protecting them from those who would do them harm, or simply being an idol to the young Bob Starrett.
